Literature Text

I tried to resist, but against my will
My feet led me in from the cold and chill
North wind,

And no time did it take
Before I was nestled with coffee
And cake

And warmth from the oven
And scent of fresh bread...

“Just this one time won’t ruin my diet.”
      I said.

“After all, there’s really nothin’
That compares to a fresh baked
      Pumpkin muffin.”

So... I’ve got to be good
For the rest of the day

Say “no” to temptation that comes my way...

‘Cause the Bakery indulgence
(so sinfully sweet)
Has used up my daily
allowance for treats!
A true account of simple pleasures.

Heehee, lovely poem; I'm not so much a Sweet eater myself (HA!) but it does sound like temptation isn't temptation without the odd reward ;)

Technically, some of the rhymes feel a lil' stretched; the first line as an example. Not sure how you read it but I wouldn't mind hearing it.

As for you being the Anti-Goth... thank you. Maybe you should post a picture of you stood in front of a mirror smiling, the caption "Cheer up you misreble buggers!"

Mind, can I say that with a 90% fatality rate in my prose...
