It’s a moth, but I can’t identify it. Several of them were fluttering around my driveway when I ventured out for my walk today.
I detest nocturnal moths. I always have. To quote a poem I wrote when I was 13 years old:
“...But I don’t like the summer nights... It’s not because of gloom... It’s just when I turn on the lights....Moths get in the room...”
Although it’s fat, hairy body and tent-like wings sort of give me the creeps, I’ll forgive this one because of it’s beautiful orange splash, and because it’s not spastically dancing around a light. And because it patiently let me take a picture of it.
Very kind of the moth, but it was probobly just to busy sunning itself to notice a apprehencive Garnet looming above .......... I am unable to name the type .......... but it looks like the "Stealth Bomber" of the moth world! ........

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
